North Stars’ Mignault tabbed SIJHL Play It Again Sports player of the week

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Thunder Bay North Stars forward Ryan Mignault has been named its Play It Again Sports player of the week, for the period ending Nov. 5.

Pacing Thunder Bay offensively on a three-game road trip, Mignault amassed a combined 11 points in those outings as his club scored an impressive 26 times in a trio of victories.

Recently acquired to return to his hometown of Thunder Bay, the 19-year-old had a goal and three assists in a romp at Fort Frances Friday.

Heading to Minnesota, Mignault picked up another four points Saturday as the North Stars knocked off the Iron Rangers.

He then finished off his week Sunday by tallying twice and adding a helper as Thunder Bay won again in Hoyt Lakes to extend a winning streak to five.

Since being acquired from the Melville Millionaires (SJHL), Mignault has 13 points to his credit in those five North Stars triumphs, including six goals.

Also earning consideration for SIJHL Play It Again Sports player of the week honours were the following:
