SIJHL announces suspension

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Junior Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham announced the following suspension resulting from an incident during SIJHL Game No. 101, English River Miners @ Thunder Bay North Stars, played on Saturday, Jan. 14:

JETT LEISHMAN, THUNDER BAY NORTH STARS – FOUR (4) GAMES

Player is suspended for incurring a major penalty and subsequent game misconduct for checking from behind (Hockey Canada Rule 6.4 (a)) during the third period of the contest vs. English River.

The player is suspended the two games under CJHL Supplement Regulation 3.1 and an additional two games under Supplementary Discipline.

The suspension will be served during the following games:

SIJHL Game 105: Wednesday, Jan. 18 vs. Fort Frances (SERVED)
SIJHL Game 107: Friday, Jan. 20 @ Fort Frances
SIJHL Game 109: Saturday, Jan. 21 @ Dryden
SIJHL Game 168: Saturday, March 18 vs. English River
