Stars Acquire Local Product Minoletti

Summer brings on change and the Thunder Bay North Stars, like all Junior teams, are making moves to prepare for the new SIJHL season. Despite just five “graduating” players from the final roster last season Thunder Bay are always evaluating new talent.

One hole in the Stars offense will need to be filled as leading scorer Nicholas Nigro was traded to the Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL). Nigro led all the team in scoring with 32 goals and 28 assists over 51 games in 2015-16. He joins a team which captured the Dudley Hewitt Cup and were National semifinalist in 2016.

The North Stars are pleased to welcome home another veteran in Tyler Minoletti. Acquired via trade with the Cochrane Crunch, the product of the Thunder Bay Kings program put up 35 points in 56 games in the NOJHL last season.
