24/25 SIJHL Community Ambassador Award – Keenan Marks

Keenan Marks has been a role model dedicating his time to support Thunder Bay and surrounding community. Over the past three years, Keenan has shown an unwavering commitment through various volunteer activities. Hockey Equipment Drive: Led a successful drive for the Underground Gym, collecting over 3,000 pieces of hockey equipment to support underprivileged youth who can’t affored equipment in Thunder Bay and in Northern remote communities. Literacy Day Volunteer: Dedicated three years to volunteering at Woodcrest Elementary School’s Literacy Day, inspiring a love for reading among students as well as spent time doing activities with the student in the gym. Special Olympics Volunteer: Supported athletes with special needs by volunteering for a  snowshoeing event/practice at the Special Olympics.
