North Stars’ Brown named SIJHL Performer of the Month for February

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Friday that Thunder Bay North Stars forward Jacob Brown has been named its Performer of the Month for February.

In a hectic 13-game slate during the 28-day time frame, the 20-year-old Thunder Bay product amassed a whopping 29 points, including 14 goals, helping the league-leading North Stars produce a dozen victories against just one defeat.

The month saw him produce eight multi-point nights as well as add a game-winning goal along with helping set-up two other difference makers.

Since joining the Thunder Bay line-up in mid-December, Brown has etched his name on the score sheet on 20 occasions giving him 45 points in 27 outings on 22 tallies and 23 helpers.

Also earning consideration for the SIJHL’s performer of the month award for February was Trygve Many Guns, (F) Dryden GM Ice Dogs, Boe Bjorge (F) Thief River Falls Norskies; Michael Di Lullo, (F) Red Lake Miners; Brett Hahkala, (F) Fort Frances Lakers and Joshua Baker, (F) Minnesota Iron Rangers.
