THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League released Tuesday its initial 2018 preseason schedule.
As of today, there are six contests on the exhibition docket involving SIJHL clubs.
Preseason play will commence Saturday, Sept. 8 as the Minnesota Iron Rangers host the Fort Frances Lakers in a 7 p.m. CT start at Hoyt Lakes Arena.
The same two sides will then wrap-up a home-and-home set at Ice for Kids Arena in Fort Frances, also at 7 p.m. CT.
Friday, Sept. 14 will see a pair of tilts on the slate with the Lakers entertaining the newly-named Red Lake Miners at 7:30 p.m. while the Thief River Falls Norskies welcome the Winkler Flyers (MJHL) to Ralph Engelstad Arena at 7 p.m. (CT).
The following evening the Lakers head to Red Lake to meet the Miners once more at Cochenour Arena and the Norskies take on the Flyers with a visit to the Winkler Recreation Complex in a pair of 7:30 p.m. starts.
Additional games will be added to the exhibition slate when and if determined and finalized.
