SIJHL announces make-up dates/Sunday start time change

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Thursday a trio of make-up dates for games that were recently postponed as well as a time change for another upcoming contest.

The December 17 match-up between the Minnesota Iron Rangers and Dryden GM Ice Dogs will now be played on Thursday, March 8 at Dryden Memorial Arena and will feature a 7:30 p.m. CT face-off.

Also, the called off January 3-4 games with the Thunder Bay North Stars and Thief River Falls Norskies will now be held Wednesday, February 14 and Thursday, February 15 in a pair of 7 p.m. starts at Ralph Engelstad Arena.

Meanwhile Sunday’s contest (Jan. 14) between the Thief River Falls Norskies and Dryden GM Ice Dogs, originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. CT will now get underway at 7 p.m. CT at Ralph Engelstad Arena.

The SIJHL is still awaiting the finalization for the new date for December 19 game contest between the Fort Frances Lakers and English River Miners that was postponed.

That date for that affair will be announced once it is confirmed.
