SIJHL announces postponement of Friday North Stars – Iron Rangers game in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League has announced tomorrow night’s scheduled contest (Friday, December 20) between the Thunder Bay North Stars and the Minnesota Iron Rangers at the Fort William Gardens has been postponed.

The cause of the postponement is due to a high amount of injuries and illness that has extremely limited the Iron Rangers roster.

As one of the two U.S.-based teams in the league, Minnesota is not allowed to register affiliate players in accordance with Hockey Canada/USA Hockey rules and regulation, thus will not be able to ice a complete line-up for the contest.

A make-up date for this postponed game will be announced by the SIJHL once it is finalized between the two teams.

The SIJHL’s 2018 portion of the regular season schedule will conclude Friday as the Fort Frances Lakers host the Thief River Falls Norskies in a 7:30 p.m. CT start at Ice for Kids Arena.

All SIJHL games are streamed live online via HockeyTV.com.
