North Stars’ Brown named SIJHL Play It Again Sports Player of the Week

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Thunder Bay North Stars forward Jacob Brown has been named its Play It Again Sports Player of the Week for the period concluding Nov. 10.

In three games during the time frame, the 20-year-old Thunder Bay product scored in each in each of them helping the league-leading North Stars pick up four points in the SIJHL standings.

Brown enters play this week having collected goals in six straight outings and is riding a 12-game point streak.

Through his first 17 contests this season, he has only been held off the scoresheet once and presently tops all SIJHL skaters in tallies (15), points (25) and game-winning goals (4).

Also earning consideration for player of the week honours were Tyler Johnson, (F) Thief River Falls Norskies; Jacob Anthony, (G) Dryden GM Ice Dogs; Ryan Patterson, (F) Red Lake Miners; Praveen Dhaliwal, (F) Fort Frances Lakers and Braden LaPorte, (D) Wisconsin Lumberjacks.
